Tutorial 4 : Setup Material Option and Bake Texture

Setup Material option in Shade Panel.1. Image has been prepared, you need to setup some Material option to make Blender ready to bake texture.

On the bottom part, Click on Grey Sphere Icon to change to Shade Panel (Left Orange Circle) You’ll notice there’re 5 more buttons available in the bar. These are options of the Shade Panel.

Then Click on the Material Button (Right Orange Circle) to call out Links and Pipeline Tab.

2. In Links and Pipeline Tab, just hit the Add New (Yellow Circle) button.



Set VCol Paint in Material Tab.3. You’ll notice there’re lots of tab appear. Don’t worry, you only need one click on the Material Tab.

On the Material Tab click to activate the VCol Paint (Yellow Circle) button.










Set VCol Paint in Material Tab.4. You have done with the Shade Panel already. Now move to work at Scene Panel (Left Orange Circle) then again you’ll see 4 more buttons available. Click on the Render Button (Right Orange Circle)

At the Bake Tab, click Texture button (Yellow Circle) to activate it.

5. You have done it! Hit the big BAKE button in the same tab to start bake texture.






New texture appear in UV/Image Editor.6. When the baking process finished you’ll see the texture appear in the UV/Image Editor window.










Our texture made by vertex paint tool.7. Under UV/Image Editor windows click on Image > Save As to save your texture out.

In case you want to see texture clearly just hover cursor over sculpted prim and press “A” to unselect all.
