That’s how you paint in 3D view! Notice if you’ve UV/Image Editor open you’ll see real-time result appear in texture file while you do 3D paint.

Changing Drawtype: Textured4. To make your sculpted prim look realistic just like inworld (both Second Life and Opensim) you can change Draw Type to Textured.

In this draw type mode you’ll see texture with background color on mesh surface.

You could swap back to Draw Type : Solid anytime if you prefer.

Image Paint Tools Summarize7. Blender became your canvas and ready for texturing but you still need to learn to control brush setting by using Paint Tool.

There’re 2 Paint Tool properties avaliable in Blender you can use which one is up to you since both tools almost look the same except some option are different.

Patin Tool #1, is a floating tab resident inside UV/Image Editor windows. To using it select View > Paint Tools from menu bar under UV/Image Editor.

Patin Tool #2, named Paint(Tab) which show in Editing Panel (Red Cycle) while you working in Texture Paint mode (Yellow Cycle).

PS. I will not describe everything inside Paint Tools because it will took very long so you could play around with it. Most of these options are similar to Photoshop or Gimp it’s not too hard to guess.
